Accessibility Feature
Parallel Windsor is a national celebration of disability lifestyle, which connects people from all over the UK; in-person and virtually. The format of the event combines a fully accessible festival of inclusivity with a wide range of challenge events for everybody of all ages, health conditions and abilities. The event takes place on the Iconic Long Walk in the Windsor Great Park, against the backdrop of Windsor Castle.
The family-orientated festival features a huge range of activities and entertainment across dedicated areas such as live music stage, lifestyle, inclusive sport, storytelling, arts and crafts, mindfulness and wellbeing.
The challenge events include a 10k, 5k, 1k, 100m and the ever-popular SuperSensory 1k; designed to exercise the senses. Walk, push or run, there are no cut off times. Mobility aids and assistance animals are welcome and everybody who takes part receives a medal, t-shirt and goody bag. The challenge event spirit is ‘Start Together; Finish Whenever’.
